SPORT CENTER ACCESS POLICIES - updated 3/15/21 As part of the Sport Centers’ three-year Joint Use Easement Agreement that took effect January 1, 2019, a clause in the contract stipulated that Sport Centers Access Policies were to be reviewed. The intent of this clause was to ensure access policies were fair and equitable to the entire homeowner community, resort visitors and guests. Additionally, to review and revise the policies to eliminate abuse and/or excessive use by non-owner guests. As identified in the contract, a Joint Use System Evaluation Committee (JUSE) was formed to review and revise the access policies. The committee was comprised of 2 members from RECOA, 2 members from ECMA and 2 members from ECAG (the Resort ownership group). The committee met extensively in 2019 and with limited meetings in 2020 to discuss and develop access policies to achieve an equitable balance of Sports Center access. Status reports and recommendations were shared with the RECOA and ECMA Boards of Directors in February 2020. Subsequently, a list of final revised guidelines were submitted to the RECOA Board of Directors and submitted, reviewed and approved by the ECMA Board of Directors in late February 2021. The new policies went into effect March 15, 2021. Based upon the implementation of the new access policies, the contractual requirement of the Joint Use Easement Agreement was satisfied.
